The Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) Project, Northern Section, a 5.3 mile four-lane limited access highway on new alignment in Snyder, Union, and Northumberland Counties, PA, is part of an overall 13-mile project corridor. The project will relieve congestion (including on existing US 15, a four-lane signalized roadway, in Lewisburg and on PA 147, a two-lane free-access roadway, in Northumberland) and improve safety by separating trucks and through traffic from local traffic. Construction of this $307 million project, completed through 4 separate contracts, began in Fall 2015 and is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2022 (to date, construction has been completed on 3 of the 4 contracts).
